Zeelandia Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Statia, known for its soft sand, beach volleyball court and picnic tables.
It is a great spot for visitors seeking a classic Caribbean beach experience without the crowds. Swimming is strictly forbidden due to the strong currents. Zeelandia Beach is also the island’s main sea turtle nesting beach and supports leatherback, green and hawksbill turtles. Zeelandia Beach is about a 10-minute drive from Whale Tails Island Suites & Villas.
Oranje Bay (Oranjestad beach)
Oranje Bay features dark volcanic sand and lovely areas to either sit on the grass, sit in the shade of large sea grape trees or enjoy swimming or snorkling. Restaurants and a dive shop are located near Oranje Bay for food, beverages and souvenirs! Oranje Bay is also just a 10-minute drive from Whale Tails Island Suites & Villas.
